This page
is empty
on purpose.

There are no reviews here yet, and there is nothing invented here instead. When hosts start sending them, they go up with a first name, the size of the table and the case that was played, including the ones that say something did not work.

Why it is empty

A seeded review page
is worth less than none.

It would take about twenty minutes to fill this page with plausible five star reviews from plausible first names, and a certain number of people would believe them. It is not worth it, for three reasons that are all self interested rather than noble.

Buyers have been trained to discount reviews on a company's own site, so invented ones do not even work. Search engines treat fabricated review markup as a manual action, not a growth tactic. And when the first genuine review does arrive, it is worth far more standing on an empty page than lost among nine fake ones.

So: nothing here, and it stays that way until a real host sends something. If you have hosted one, the email address is on this page.

  • No AggregateRating markup. There is no rating to aggregate, so there is no rating in the page's structured data either.
  • First name, table size, case played. A review with no detail is not evidence. Every one published here will carry all three.
  • Criticism gets published. Including the case, so somebody else can decide whether the same thing would bother them.
  • Nothing is paid for. No incentivised reviews, no discount in exchange for a rating.

What is actually useful.

If you have hosted a case, four things make a review worth reading to the next person deciding.

  1. Which caseTwenty six of them behave differently. A review with no case name helps nobody choose.
  2. How many people, and whoSix old friends and twelve colleagues are different nights. Say which you had.
  3. What surprised youThe specific moment, not the adjective. The point where somebody's story fell apart is worth more than the word brilliant.
  4. What did not workGenuinely. If the middle sagged or a role felt thin, that is the most useful sentence in the review and it will be published.
Where else

Independent places to look.

Reviews on a company's own site are the weakest kind of evidence, including these ones when they exist. If you would rather read something we cannot edit, the honest position today is that there is not much yet: no BoardGameGeek entry, no aggregator listing, no press coverage.

That is being worked on and it is not a reason to pretend otherwise. In the meantime the thing that is checkable is the product itself: every case page states the setting, the player count, the length and whether it is real history or fiction, and the refunds page says what happens if it does not work for you.

Have you hosted one? info@wildheartspublishing.com.au. First name, table size, case played, and what you actually thought. It goes up as written, edited only for length.
Questions

Reviews, answered.

Are there reviews of Murder Mystery Party?

Not published ones yet, and this page says so rather than filling itself with invented ones. Hosts are asked for a review after their first completed case, and reviews will appear here with the reviewer's first name, their group size and the case they played.

Why is the reviews page empty?

Because there is nothing honest to put on it yet. A seeded review page is worth less than an empty one: buyers discount reviews they suspect, search engines penalise fabricated review markup, and the first real review is worth more if it is not standing in a crowd of invented ones.

How do I leave a review?

Email info@wildheartspublishing.com.au with the case you played, how many people were at the table, and what you actually thought. Critical reviews are published alongside good ones.

Will you publish bad reviews?

Yes. A review page with no criticism on it is not read as praise, it is read as marketing. If a case did not work for your group we would rather that was on the page, with what went wrong.
