an alibi.
There is no gift card yet, and a forwarded access code is a thin sort of present. So here is the version that actually works: buy the case, print the pack that already comes with it, wrap that, and put the code inside. A real object, with a real case on the front, and nothing to post.
Buy the case at $29 and gift it by printing the printable pack that is included free, wrapping it, and putting the access code inside. Access codes do not expire, there is nothing to post, and it works overseas. There is no gift card product yet.
Four steps, no post office.
This takes about twenty minutes and turns an email into something you can hand to somebody.
- Pick the case, not a voucherChoosing it is part of the present. A true crime reader gets one of the eight real cases. A couple gets Be the Detective. A big family Christmas gets The Twelve Suspects of Christmas.
- Buy it and print the pack$29. The printable pack is included and it is the whole night on paper: a booklet per guest and the host pack. Print the host pack and the cover page.
- Write the code inside the coverBy hand, on the inside of the host guide. Nobody has ever been delighted by a forwarded email.
- Wrap itIt is a document, so it wraps like a book. Which is what it looks like, which is the point.

There is no gift card.
A gift card is on the list of things to build and it is not built. Until it is, this page tells you what works today rather than selling you a product that does not exist.
One genuine advantage of doing it this way: an access code does not expire, so you are not giving somebody a deadline. And because there is nothing physical, you can buy it at eleven at night on the twenty fourth of December, which some of us will need.

Can you give a murder mystery party as a gift?
Yes. Buy the case at $29, and instead of forwarding the access code, print the printable pack that comes free with it and wrap that. The recipient gets a real object with the case name on it, and the code inside. It is a better present than an email and it costs nothing extra.
Do you sell gift cards?
Not yet. Rather than pretend otherwise: buy a specific case and gift that. It is arguably the better present anyway, because choosing the case for somebody is part of the gift, and an access code does not expire.
Does the access code expire?
No. Buy it in November and they can host it in March. The code is theirs and it stays valid.
What is a good gift for someone who likes true crime?
One of the eight Case Files, which reopen real historical murders from 1876 to 1929 using the real evidence. Poisoned at the Priory and A Death in the Family are the two that people who read a lot of true crime tend to react to, because both are cases where nobody was ever convicted.
Can I give it to someone overseas?
Yes. There is nothing physical, so there is nothing to post. Prices are in Australian dollars and the case plays anywhere with a screen and some phones.
