A village church five days before Christmas, the choir rehearsing for the carol service, the vestry cold and the tea urn on. A death in a place where everybody has known everybody since school, and where the things people are protecting are mostly not the murder.
That is as much as the file will give you. The rest comes out on the night, one piece of evidence at a time, and the room will be well into the evening before the shape of it shows.
